We are young.

Tomorrow morning I am leaving at 5am with a bunch of radical people to head up to Byron Bay for NYE, the fact I packed 3days in advance shows how keen I am.

P.s.

I forgot to mention a couple of marvellous things that have happened in the recent weeks
1. I finished HSC as of 10th November
2. My HSC Art Major made it into ArtExpress (Selection of the best major works in NSW displayed in Art Galleries around the state)
3. I was more than pleased with my HSC results and ATAR - Which means I should make it into my course of Interior Architecture at UNSW, as I am well above the cut off.
4. Obvious I already mentioned my 18th and Party
5. Its Christmas Eve tonight, and due to my family being German we celebrate tonight - Yipee!
6. On the 27th I leave for Byron Bay with a bunch of friends - Keen as a bean, so much so that I'm already packed.

(It's that simple. I love you.)

EIGHTEEN - Arabian Nights style.

And there we have it. I'm 18. However not much has changed. Yeh I may have a little more freedom and a few more expenses, unlike most the urge to 'go out' really doesnt interest me all that much, loud music, drunkeness, etc - Just not my thing. Instead you'll find me making something new, watching movies, watching the Big Bang theory, drinking copious amounts of tea or making my 'wants' list which im currently waiting for my debit mastercard to arrive so I can shop online - Yipee.
And here's a couple of snipets from my party. I'm terribly thankful for the friends I have as they are all so fantastic and they definatley made my brithday one to remember
(The best - Han)

(My guy - Aka Brett)

(KATIE! After travelling for the year, I was stoked that she got home just before my birthday. Plus as a pressie I got my own Katie Brand original singlet! So amazing)

(Definatley one of thee best dressed)
(My lovely Kate)

(My dearest Emma.)

(Millie - Secret gamers :p )

(Two of my Favourites - Brett + Han)

(I'm 18!)

(Kara - Where would I be without her!)

(Birthday Canvas)

(Arabian Afternoons)

And there we have it, welcome to adulthood.

And these are my thoughts for the day.

Thought 1:
I was reminiscing on my trip to America last December, and how much i loved visiting these places that I've always seen in movies and such. Like actually putting a location to the place kinda thing. My favourite would of probably been Alcatraz, don't ask why, i just find history interesting..

Thought 2:
So, im kinda going to miss winter. All the fun layers, rugging up inside with a cup of tea reading and watching movies, snow and so on. Don't get me wrong I love summer, and they boh compliment each other cause without the other one I wouldnt be excited for it to come kinda thing. But yes bring on summer, but i'll miss winter.

Thought 3:
I found this photo a while back on weheartit.com, and I liked it. Thats all. Take it as you please, while I have never written on a toilet wall I just took notice of the message it was communicating, cause well I guess its true.

Thought 4:
This isn't really a thought, more of a 'I wish I could do this'. So, I will learn.
.
The End

Librarians.

So let me just say this, I thoroughly enjoy the library. In fact i get a little bit excited every time i walk into those sliding doors of Caringbah library, they greet me with such open arms and there i am, in a wonderful world of books, both leisure and knowledge. But you know what i noticed, librarians are the most punctual people ever, which didn't come as much of a shock but they fact that they always seem so terribly eager to leave. I mean I'm well and truly packing up before closing time, obviously putting books in my bag, and day in day out i have this lady come up to me saying, "do you know we're closing know?" Um well isn't it kinda obvious i packing up everything. It kinda says something about their job though, that they find it terribly boring and cant wait to leave the place. Which kinda ruins my back-up if everything else fails of becoming a librarian, cause its this behaviour from these ladies that basically screams don't do it to yourself.

On a lighter note, Yesterday i borrowed another 5 books on top of the 3 i already had out. Consisting of 2 course type books on Interior design basically what i intend on doing next year, 'Good to Great Hair' by Robert Vetica, well cause i cut my own hair and such and wanted to learn a little more about, '1000 greetings' by Peter King & Company, not so sure why i borrowed this little book, actually that's a lie, i do know why, because i like the cover and look of it mixed with the wonderful inspirations for card making inside it looks splendid. And last but not least 'Modern Dog - 20yrs of Poster Art' purely cause i love art. So while this sounds like the most amazing choice of books (well, at least to me) odds are i wont even get to read them since I'm doing the flippin HSC! Borrowing books kinda makes me already feel like I'm on holidays, they a relaxing and oh so satisfying.

Cannot wait till life can look like this (until UNI starts, providing i actually get in) :

(reading books day in day out, having no agenda)
(And, to top it off, LOTS of tea. Chai preferably)

That's all Folks.

Seconds, Minutes and Hours.

If only I currently had the time to do this everyday. Stupid HSC.

Hold my hand, please.

Work now, play later.

Its been a while since I've written anything on here. Why? Just cause I've been so flipping busy!
-School Graduation Dinner
-Jamberoo
-Muck-up day
-Graduation Assembly
-Fridge to Fridge
-Last days
The list goes on. I kinda wish i wrote about all these things as they went along cause i have so much to say but now, its been and gone. But on another note, this whole study thing is kinda getting boring. Actually i don't think its ever been fun. Its just the fact i have to stay inside while everyones outside on those sunny days have bundles of fun. However currently I'm on a study break, watching Night at the Museum 2, eating yogurt and well writing on this. I'm just trying to think of inspiration for my creative writing for my English exam. That's all I've got to say for now. Have a splendid day.
Candice over and out.

Snowy times.

“Man, I hate that trick. There are times when you're just spinning and you totally lose track of where you are. You don't know where you're going to land. You only hope you're still in the pipe.” Shaun White.

There are two things that amaze me about Shaun White. 1: The ridiculous amount of hair he has! and 2: How unbelievably talented he is. Its seriously breathtaking. I wish i had skills like that.

He simply oozes cool.

So on the weekend just past I went to the snow. The gang (Amie, Brett m, Levi, Kurt, Brett k, and myself) experienced some wild weathers. There was lots of rain, wind and some more rain. Thankfully on the second day it didn't rain, stead it just snowed all day which was beautiful. So what do i have to show for my epic weekend, just this pretty deep purple bruise on the back of my leg about the size of a mandarin. It hurt. I wish i had some cool story about how i did some mad jump and lost a ski mid air and punctured my leg. But no, i got this nasty bruise from a rope tow. Yes you heard me right, a beginners rope tow. Myself, having skied for nearly 10years would no longer say I'm an beginner, Therefore the fact i hurt myself on a rope tow is somewhat embarrassing.

Here's just a few happy snaps from the weekend:

Love Love Love.

Tears, pain and some more pain.

Lets begin with the tears. After waking up at 6:30am (already a bad start) i had to rush down to my mums house and get my darn art major to school. One being 1200mm x about 1000mm which believe it or not was the small one and the other being 2200mm x 1210 backed by a massive board. And if you have no idea how big that is, lets just say it was very big, life size. Sounds fine so far right, wrong. After attached the life size drawing to the board and setting it upright i realised i couldn't stand it, and thought it looked terrible. Tears began and didn't stop, spend the next hour rushing to fix the face on this drawing. In the end it ended up ok, but still nervous as to whether it will mark okay.

The photos not heaps good quality cause its off my phone. But it looks somewhat like that.

And the pain - well while trying to put the seats back into the car which i had to take up to fit everything in there, my mum managed to drop on of the seats on my knee. It hurt. I cried. haha. But i have a pretty purple coloured knee : and some more pain - lets just say Ive had terrible stomach cramps all morning. Not cool.

Peace out.

Makes you happy.

There's just something about flowers, more than the smell or the look of them, but something that draws me in that makes me want to run through paddocks of flowers with not a care in the world.

You know whats great about this time of year, that the cherry blossoms are out and looking as great as ever! There is a cherry blossom tree out the front of my house, it makes me smile everytime i walk past it. Seriously they are the best!

And don't they make some very lovely photos. They make me smile.
Have I told you lately that, I love you?

Summer Days.

While i'm a lover of winter, the feeling of laying in bed all cosy on a saturday morning with nowhere to be, rugging up, snow, the clothes in general. I do feel as if im ready for summer, i just find it a very joyous time. Sun, beach, friends, holiday - absolute bliss! So i gathered a few photos just to embrace the summer vibe.

Summer 2010/11 you will be divine. With the HSC completed, I look forward to schoolies (although those plans are yet to be decided), 18th birthday/party, Christmas, NYE Holiday with the best people around. Just so much to look forward to! Ahh excitement! Bring it on.

I cho cho choose you.

Oh how i love thee..

Nanna Naps.
Are they not just the most fantastic thing ever? After a painfully long day at school drawing on a picture that feels like its getting nowhere, to come home and see that couch and just falling asleep to some terrible daytime TV show. However there is a downside to this marvellous experience. The inability to sleep that night. Usually i would complain but doing HSC and all that jazz i guess i can use that time to do some work, otherwise its a complete pain really.

P.s. I thought i'd share my two favourite plants with you. Just cause I can really. 2 weeks or so ago we had an SRC tree planting afternoon, I wasn't heaps keen at first considered it meant getting all dirty in school uniform but turned out I had a bunch of fun with some great people.

Meet Candy and Clarence The Trees!

(Candy the Plant, yes i named it after myself. Haha.)

Keys Please!

So today I finished school at recess, meaning I got home at 11am which would of be sweet but somehow I managed to forget my keys, so I spent the next 30minutes trying to break into my own house, after giving up I sat out the front doing homework in the cold. Thankfully I have wonderful grandparents who came to pick me up after and hour being stuck there cause otherwise I would of been waiting till 5pm to get inside, the idea of that did not excite me one bit. Now I'm at my grandparents house doing research for a stupid biology task, however on the plus side we are able to bring in one piece of hand written notes on an A4 piece of paper. Let just say my writing is not meant to be read by the human eye. Ok, slight exaggeration, it's just really small.

Oh and it maybe just be me but i've never heard of Celeriac before. Its looks kinda, um how do I put this nicely.. unique, like a trolls foot? Its the cooking celery of Northern Europe. Turns out i've been eating it my whole life as my Oma (Grandma) has been sneeking it into all sorts of meals over the years. I don't know how i feel about this.

Looking on the brightside, this day has only been getting better since that lowlight.
And on that note-
I bid thee farewell

Snowflake.

In exactly 23days and 16hours I will be on my way to the snow with an awsome bunch of friends going by the names of Brett, Levi, Amie, Arctic Wolf and Kurt. I love everything about the snow - The cold, Hot chocolates, Snow ball fights, Stacking, but most importantly the SKIING! This year will mark about 9 years of skiing and i'm more excited then ever. While we're only heading down for the weekend I really don't mind, I'm just stoked I get to go since my dad decieded not to go this year, but promised my brother and I next year (which I will hold him to). The fact i'm going down with friends is so exciting, being a massive fan of roadtrips, snow, camps and roadtrip music I simply cannot wait. If I didn't have HSC commitments I would of definately spent a week down there at some stage. In the meantime i'll have to settle with staring at the trail guides each night.
-
To Do List:
-Go to Canada sometime in the next 5 years
-Find a big mountain and sing 'The Hills are alive with the sound of music'
-Go to Blarney Castle in Ireland (P.s. Quite the fan of the Irish accent)
-Last but not least, go to Harry Potter Adventure Park in Orlanda, USA!
-
Figured since i spent this whole ramble talking about the snow i'd share some pictures.
-
(Perisher - Going up the Telemark T-Bar)
(Myself)

(Skitube - My Brother Hayden and I)

(Building Forts!)

- P.s. I Love You.
